Still Waiting...

ell, it almost slipped by me, but we have now been waiting 8 months for Emma Claire's referral.In the meantime, I am now eagerly following the adoption journey of another family. They received their referral in April and will be traveling in a few days. I learned of this family through my mother. My mom works with a friend of the family. I am happy to see this family's journey reach this point. Getting updates after it has gone through 3 different channels and through people that don't always comprehend the details of China adoptions can be very amusing. But, I am happy for this family and will be checking in on their trip to China.
I also just learned that my secret pal is switching countries from China to Vietnam. Kind of a bummer. But I wish them all the luck. Now I have to rethink this month's gift!!

Diet Update

o far in my quest to lose 2 Chloe's I have lost 6 lbs. My dear sister is in town this week and has purchased this book for me in an effort to help me reach my goal. She swears by this book, of course, she recommended it as she troughed down 2 cupcakes. Hmmmm, I don't think she was using cognitive therapy then.
